Advocacy Services
Leading civil society efforts for social security reform, labour law enforcement, and policy changes that protect workers' rights.
Impact
PLA's Advocacy program champions the rights of vulnerable and marginalized workers through policy engagement, coalition building, and public campaigns. We work to influence national and international labour policies that affect the most vulnerable workers in Uganda.
Policy Engagement
Key advocacy areas include social security reform, minimum wage legislation, occupational safety standards, and protection of domestic workers' rights. We engage with Parliament, government ministries, and international organizations to push for progressive labour legislation.
Legal Impact
Through strategic litigation and public interest cases, we have contributed to landmark legal precedents that advance workers' rights across East Africa.
