Since inception, Platform for Labour Action's work has been grounded in rigorous Research, Knowledge Management and continuous Learning. Our approach enables us to deeply understand our target groups, the structural challenges they face, and collaboratively co-create sustainable solutions. We continuously monitor change in the communities we work in.

Our Research, Information, Education and Communication interventions generate evidence-based insights that inform our advocacy, programme design, and organisational learning.

What We Do

We conduct research on contemporary labour and employment matters, publish findings, and package knowledge for diverse audiences in accessible formats. Our publications include:

• Annual reports and newsletters
• Thematic research papers covering child labour, domestic workers' conditions, minimum wage, social security, workers' compensation, maternity rights, HIV/AIDS prevention and impact mitigation, and labour migration patterns

Strategic Communication

Through strategic communication, we amplify the voices of vulnerable workers, raise public awareness of labour rights violations, and build informed support for policy reform. This includes media engagement, press releases, digital communication platforms for knowledge dissemination, community information sharing activities, and documentation of worker testimonials.

Data and Transparency

Our data-driven insights are aligned with donor expectations on transparency and impact reporting, ensuring accountability to the communities we serve and the partners who support our work.
